ஜய பேரிகை கொட்டடா! 

பயமெனும பேய்தனை யடித்தோம் – பொய்மைக்

பாம்மைப் பிளந்துயிரைக் குடித்தோம்;

வியனுல கனைத்தையும் அமுதென நுகரும் 

வேத வாழ்வினைக் கைப்பிடித்தோம்   (ஜய பேரிகை) –

இரவியி னொளி யிடைக் குளித்தோம் – ஒளி

இன்னமு தினைக்கண்டு களித்தோம்; 

கரவினில் வந்துயிர்க் குலத்தினை யழிக்கும் 

காலன் நடுநடுங்க விழித்தோம்  -  (ஜய பேரிகை)

காக்கை,குருவி எங்கள் ஜாதி – நீள்

கடலும்,மலையும் எங்கள் கூட்டம்; 

நோக்கும் திசையெலாம் நாமன்றி வேறில்லை

Beat our
Drums!
Yes.
Beat them, again and again!!
Having thrashed
The so called Demon
Named fear
Into shambles,

And having ripped apart
The snake called Illusion
And drunken it’s
blood,
And having looked upon to a
Veda’s Life
That
Assimilate, inhales
The entire gamut of a Universe
With love and care.
Yes.
Beat our Gigantic Drums
Again and again.
Beat our Ferocious Drums!
Yes.
Beat them, again and again!!
Having bathed and submerged
In the beautiful rays
Of the sun
And having woken up
To the shivers
Of the creepy crawling
Death
That attempts

Shamelessly
To grasp the
Mankind in its grip
With
Vengeance
Yes.
Beat our
Drum..

The crows,
The sparrows,
And all of them
Belongs to our lot..

Stretching seas
The mountains..
Belongs to our clan..
Whichever direction
You may look and
Which ever direction
You may gaze
It’s nothing but us.
The more we see and see,
It’s simply the pleasure and delight
That brims within us.

The pear is a musical instrument used to convey information. This musical instrument was widely used during the reign of kings in Tamil Nadu. They have used this instrument to convey to the people in the city information about the king’s decree, marriage news, procession, etc. On the back of a decorated elephant, the trumpet is pierced and banged. Thereafter, the information to be given will be communicated. Those who declare this are called Valluvars.

The use of this instrument as a symbol of victory in the war.
